Spring into Summer

We'll start back in Easter. My Human made a Peepcake for her friends. They let me have some. It was really sweet and pretty funny. It was later decided it was the Peep sermon on the mount.

We headed to Dallas for a friend's wedding. My Human's friend Chance took us around. She miss the big blue skies and puffy white clouds, but not the humidity. ;)
June came around and it was time to celebrate My Human's birthday! She wanted to go to Disneyland!!!!  Her friend dANO bought us BOTH ears to wear! I got a 1st Time button to wear and rode as many rides as we were able to in our time there. It was AWESOME!

I saw some distant relatives there. They all look alike, though.

My Human's friends went with us.. Aunt Helen and Janis spent the day riding rides with us and showing us the Disneyland ropes.
We saw C3-PO when we were in line for the Star Tours.. he looked just like he did in the movies!
Then we went on Space Mountain - it was FAST! Did you know there are hidden pictures in the ride??? ME either!
We also went to the tiki land area and bought pineapple drinks, they were yummy. My Human let me play in the statues while we were in line, she says I get into less trouble when I am distracted...whatever that means.
Janis was making sure I knew to behave on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. She said I was not allowed to chase the wenches OR the pirates.. and no swimming in the water.
The three wanted to ride some of the classic rides, so we went on the carousel and Mr Toad's Wild Ride - they even let me DRIVE!!!

For dinner, we met our friend Anne in downtown Disney and they all had margaritas. The bartender let me pick the tequilas. He wouldn't serve me any, though.. said I looked too young and did not have ID.
Anne, Aunt Helen, me, My Human and Janis. They sang happy birthday to My Human, it was fun.
My Human and I met Lo and Wiggle for some culture at LACMA and saw the Pompeii exhibit. Outside, there was this cool installation of plastic dishes. I started swinging from them pretending I was Tarzan, but they made me stop. All in all, a nice first half of the year!

Coming out from hiding and going black tie

Yeah, it has been a while. Seems My Human decided to hide me under some sofa pillows and left me there for a while. She, of course, blamed Jack the Cat who was innocent in all this. After finally digging me out and fluffing me back up, she started taking me out on adventures again. The first being the Director's Guild of America Awards. I think that made up for the sofa pillow thing.

Anyway... Off we went dressed to the nines to the Century Plaza Hotel. We skirted to outside red carpet since my fame has not yet spead to the masses.. and went into the glittering room downstairs for a cocktail reception then dinner. It was pretty cool seeing the likes of Jodi Foster, Christian Bale, Ron Howard, Marisa Tomei, Roger Ebert, Christopher Nolan, Frank Langella... and so on and so on.

We were there cheering on My Human's friend who works on Mad Men. (An awesome show - go watch it.) The show did not win this year, but we still cheered just the same.

Here are a few pics:

Me with Janis and Loren

Myla and Maryann

My Human and the director's chair that had her name on it.. She lets me play on it and yell "ACTION!!" once in a while. Then me at our dinner table

Janis again on the way home after a glittery, star studded night.

*sigh* long absence

So My Human has been duly chastised for not making regular updates this month. Not as if I can type - had she given me hands, that might be another story... but until then, I rely on her to enter in my thoughts. So she is grounded. Bad Human.

Anyway, December has been fun and busy. There have been parties and decorating, crafting, working and various other things that have kept us hopping. I am ready to celebrate my first holiday season.

I already got a couple gifts from Jen - my own suitcase and photo album! I am styling now!!

I also got to help Dano celebrate his birthday - though he did get a bit edgy when he thought I was diggin into his cake before he did. Happy birthday, Dano. ;)

Elf. Gnome. Good combo

all the links below are different elf dances from the Office Depot/JibJab site... I am not always one to pimp the corporate machine, but this is one of the most fun campaigns evah. I am so glad they brought it back this year. :)
